Hunter has been a fan of anime, a style of Japanese film and television animation, for as long as he has had access to the internet and was aware of its existence (so, quite young). Sarah had dabbled in the mainstream of the genre before meeting Hunter, but he was determined to help introduce her to more anime shows, especially the ones that he loves and wanted to share with her. Their Anime Table is a curated collection of anime shows that the couple has watched together. (For those who argue that Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra are not true anime shows, please remember whose wedding you're at and let the couple have this moment in peace.)

She seeks refuge in Howl's moving castle, a wizard's home that is both magical and mobile. Two brothers, after a horrific alchemical accident while attempting to resurrect their dead mother, had their bodies maimed and destroyed. It sets them on a quest to find the mythical philosopher's stone, which will restore their bodies to their original states. This is one of Hunter's favorite shows, and arguably one of the best anime ever made (you could argue otherwise, but you'd be wrong). Hunter's only tattoo is a symbol from the show: Flammel's cross, which the brothers wear.

Her quest leads her to the epicenter of the modern "Avatar" world, Republic City—a metropolis fueled by steampunk technology. It is a virtual melting pot where benders and non-benders from all nations live and thrive. However, Korra discovers that Republic City is plagued by crime as well as a growing anti-bending revolution that threatens to rip it apart.
