Eda's Owl House

Premise: Luz Nocida, a human girl, accidentally transports to the Demon Realm, where she meets Eda the Owl Lady, King the Titan, and Hooty the Owl and moves into The Owl House with them. Luz trains with Eda and later attends school to learn magic. She makes friends, including Amity, a classmate with whom she develops romantic feelings. Everyone has to team up to take on Emperor Belos, a former witch hunter (and human) who wants to eradicate magic on the Boiling Isles. There's also a character named Hunter, who begins the show as Belos' right-hand man but undergoes a transformation and becomes a positive force.
Favorite Moments:
The couple enjoyed watching Luz and Amity, her schoolmate, fall in love with each other. They are SUPER awkward about it. Amity wins "Grom Queen" and has to fight a monster named Grom at their prom. Luz and Amity dance while fighting the monster together. Seeing Disney produce such a progressive and queer show was a welcome surprise.
During a strange moment where Hooty (an owl that essentially functions as a doorbell and peephole on the front door of The Owl House) fights and kills a pack of sentient stuffed animals, he looks into the camera and delivers the couple's favorite line from the show: "I'll be haunted by my actions forever. Hoot! Hoot!"

Set Significance:
The Owl House: The couple found a MOC (my own creation) version of The Owl House, a replica of the house where the characters live on the show. It has quite a detailed interior.
They were also pleasantly surprised to find a MOC version of King Clawthorne, a beloved character on the show who puts on a show of being tough and aggressive, but is very sweet and loving.
Where It's Streaming: Disney+; the finale aired in 2023.
Reason They Watched: The couple enjoyed Gravity Falls, another animated Disney series, and heard good reviews about Owl House.
