After dinner on Christmas Eve, Sarah's family, including her mom and sister, wanted to see some of the tacky lights in their Brandermill neighborhood. They all piled into the car with the list of addresses for houses that were participating in that year's holiday light competitions (which was sophisticated enough to have multiple categories). Trying to figure out a route on the fly that didn't involve a lot of doubling back was not easy, especially for Sarah, who is geographically challenged. In the years before Hunter moved in with Sarah, their neighborhood was a destination for tacky lights. One house even won a national competition back in 2014 (but they've since packed up their Christmas lights). They saw some fun houses, including one that had its lights synchronized with the radio and another that was decked out with Christmas flamingos, but the houses were not on par with the most amazing ones Sarah and her family had seen before. Hunter didn't mind, though, as he's always up for anything. The real fun was still to come on Christmas morning, when Hunter opened more brick sets in one sitting than he'd possibly ever owned in his entire life up to that point.

The famous house in Brandermill that won a national holiday lights competition in 2014.
