Premise: In the film, an embittered ogre named Shrek finds his home in the swamp overrun by fairy tale creatures banished by the obsessive ruler Lord Farquaad. With the help of Donkey, Shrek makes a pact with Farquaad to rescue Princess Fiona in exchange for regaining control of his swamp.
Reason They Watched: The couple watched Shrek together while it was on in the background one weekend (they also watched the Puss in Boots spin-off, for some ungodly reason), but that's not why they included this set in their museum. Hunter loves many of the songs from the Shrek soundtrack, which makes them think of the movie anytime they hear them (the first movie came out when they were about six years old!).
Favorite Songs: The two songs Hunter is most likely to burst out singing at any moment are "Allstar" by Smash Mouth and "Accidentally in Love" by The Counting Crows. Yes, Hunter knows all the words and is perfectly content singing them a cappella, or mouthing them dramatically if they're in mixed company, since the man can't hold a tune to save his life.
