A few days after carving pumpkins on the floor of Sarah's kitchen, Hunter and Sarah were inspired to visit the Chesterfield Berry Farm's pumpkin patch—the first Hunter had ever visited. They parked in the grass down a little makeshift lane that the farm named Strawberry Lane (very appropriate since Hunter has Sarah named "Strawberry" in his phone). They started with the corn maze, walking through the paths and only reaching a dead end a few times. They chased each other, stole some kisses, and eventually found an exit—not the actual exit, but an exit.

They visited the bunnies and goats, watching the kids (the four-legged kind) chase each other up fake mountain landscapes in their pen. They watched pigs with crude bacon-themed names (think "Baconator" and you get the idea) race around a makeshift track. They caught the hayride to the pumpkin patch and walked through a field of sunflowers as tall as Sarah before exploring the pumpkins and gourds still on the vine. By the time they left, they were buzzing with that feeling of spending time with someone you love.
