Premise: An adventurous teenager sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder. Together they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she always sought: her own identity.
Favorite Songs: When Moana first meets Maui, and he breaks out into the song "You're Welcome." This is Hunter's favorite song from the movie, and he belts it alongside Dwayne Johnson (and goes a cappella when the mood strikes). Sarah enjoys the song "Shiny" by the bedazzled coconut crab, Tamatoa.
Set Significance: The couple chose Moana's Flowerpot because it adds lovely island flowers to the wedding and features a secret room within the flowerpot, complete with Moana's raft and Pua the pig.
Where It's Streaming: Disney+; the movie was released in 2016.
Reason They Watched: Both had seen the movie before, but not together. It's a good one to put on when Hunter is in the mood to sing.
