One of Sarah's good friends from her AmeriCorps days, when she was fresh out of college, is Hope, who lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Sarah and Hunter try to visit Hope as often as they can, and took the opportunity on a November Saturday to make the day-trip. They browsed around the shops in Downtown Fredericksburg, visiting some of their favorites, such as the Irish shop, the designer candle store, and the stationery store that sometimes has a dog sleeping on the floor. Hope and Hunter taste-tested some olive oils and at a huge bargain-bin type store with just about everything under the sun, Hope learned what an axolotl is (a Mexican salamander with the rare trait of retaining its larval features throughout its adult life; in other words, CUTE). Hunter was wearing his long, gray trench coat and a green fedora, and he kept receiving compliments in every store they stopped in. While they were walking on the street, a budding photographer stopped Hunter (and Sarah, but mainly Hunter) and asked if she could take a photo of them because they were such a good-looking couple. She gave them her card after snapping a picture and told them that they'd be on her Instagram account soon (which ended up being true!). When they got hungry, they grabbed some food at Firebird's, a restaurant that is safe for Sarah with her dietary restrictions. The waitress, who was extremely kind (and extremely pregnant), accidentally dumped a tray holding a sugar caddy into Hunter's lap, which made everyone laugh. After dinner at the last shop of the night, Sarah found a pearl-studded cowboy hat that she couldn't resist buying. It may or may not make an appearance at the wedding!
The first photo that appeared on the photographer's Instagram was an advertisement for a Christmas photoshoot, which made the couple laugh. They knew they were cute, but this was an unexpected turn of events.
Hunter and Sarah are Instagram famous thanks to Hunter's Inspector Gadget get-up. Look at all SIX of those likes! They are charmed that this photographer, whom they had known for only two minutes, called them "genuine."
