If you didn't already guess it, Hunter is a huge fan of the musical, Hamilton (cause he's a nerd). He saw the play in 2018 with his sister, which was back when it was still HOT and pretty harrowing to obtain decent tickets. Sarah, on the other hand, had at least heard of Hamilton. But she'd never watched the play either in a theater or from her couch. Hunter sang songs from the musical almost constantly (when he wasn't singing Irish drinking songs). Yes, he even raps along with Daveed Diggs. It's something to behold. At the end of an eventful Sunday, which also included volunteering with the City of Richmond to inventory trees by hugging over 30 of them with a measuring tape, picnicking at Maymont, and watching an owl chase a squirrel, Hunter took control of the TV and put on Hamilton. For the next two hours, Sarah spent more time watching Hunter enthusiastically sing along to every single song than she spent watching the musical itself. Sarah thought it was very sweet how much Hunter wanted to share this thing that he loved with her, and Hunter was glad to have an excuse to sing for two hours straight (usually, Sarah would cut him off after a few songs, for her sanity). Sarah would later introduce Hunter to one of the songs recorded for the musical but not included in the final cut: "Ben Franklin's Song" by The Decemberists. It would be on the wedding playlist if not for all the F-bombs.
