The Airbnb they chose was a tiny cabin perched on the side of a steep cliff, overlooking the distant mountains. Hunter immediately found the hammock outside. The couple spent their first evening making dinner together, discussing Sarah's job offer from Lewis Ginter (and how to approach salary negotiations), and watching the movie Leap Year. It's about a woman (Amy Adams) who surprises her boyfriend during his business trip to Ireland so she can take advantage of a Celtic tradition that allows women to propose to men on Leap Day (or she could have just proposed to him back home in New York any day, but then there wouldn't have been a movie). In typical rom-com fashion, her plan doesn't work as intended, and she ends up falling in love with a reluctant Irishman. Hunter didn't let on about his plans to propose in the slightest as they watched the movie, and Sarah was none the wiser (though she had warned Hunter, in an off-hand way as they were packing for the trip, that he better not be planning to propose that weekend; his poker face was surprisingly convincing).

After the movie, they were being silly and had an accident that was funny then, but is even funnier now: as Hunter let his head hang over the side of the bed, Sarah leaned down to plant a kiss on his forehead, and at that very moment, Hunter whipped his head up (eyes closed, not seeing Sarah) and caught Sarah's front teeth in his forehead. The pain reverberated across both of their faces in the stunned moments that followed. Hunter's forehead bled, so Sarah had to administer first aid while her teeth throbbed. And somehow, having angry red teeth marks on his face didn't make Hunter waver in his plans to propose the following day. The whole situation was a rom-com of their own, the epitome of romance. It's a night they surely will never forget (the photos from the proposal the following day will make sure of that!).
