Agecroft Hall is a unique historical gem in Richmond. It's a manor house that was originally built in Lancashire, England, in 1485, but was disassembled and painstakingly moved across the Atlantic Ocean in the late 1920s. It was reassembled along the James River with modifications to include more modern conveniences, and was completed in 1928. It opened as a museum in 1969 after the last remaining family member left the estate. Sarah had visited Agecroft before, but Hunter hadn't even heard of it. The house is full of furniture and decor styles that match the Tudor and early Stuart periods of England, and your ticket also buys a tour through the main rooms. It's the kind of place where you can visit many times and spot new curiosities each time. Sarah has always been impressed by how much of the glass is original to the house, having survived passage across the ocean. The set the couple selected to represent Agecroft Hall is inspired by its library, which contains a vast collection of books and even has an overhead chamber that could conceal a live band during social gatherings. After exploring the house itself, the couple escaped outside to wander the estate's gardens and grassy fields. From a small watchtower, they could spot the James River down the hill at the back of the property.
